POWDER PHOTOGRAPHY NEAR ME
Have you found yourself asking, "is there a powder photographer near me?" Well, if you are in northern NJ, you're in luck! We are located in the suburbs of northern Bergen County, NJ - just about 20 minutes from the GWB!
SPRING IS ALMOST SPRINGING
Now that spring is almost here in northern NJ, we can finally think about getting outside to do powder photo sessions again! It's so crazy that it's only February and I started hearing the birds chirp yesterday - for the first time this season! I can't wait to get rid of this cold weather and start to see the flowers bloom again! Springtime is one of my favorite times of year!
So, as the gymnasts wind down their competition season, and the spring sports kick up, we will be setting up outside to do our very messy, yet super fun powder photos.
why outside?
We need a space where gymnasts and dancers can jump and flip, baseball players can hit and pitch, soccer players can head and kick, etc. Also, the "powder" that we use (a later blog post will explain all of that) is so messy, so the cleanup is so much easier with a hose and soap and water!
is it possible to do these sessions indoors?
Actually, yes! We do these sessions "on location" for fundraisers. These are so much fun because they are typically back to back mini sessions and friends/teammates can plan to have time slots that are back to back. We can just set up with all of the plastic sheeting and coverings that we need to protect our clients' space. As long as the ceilings are high enough and the conditions are good for it, we can do it! The one caveat is that these back to back sessions and indoor don't work for all sports.
